Story

This is one of my original tunes and was inspired by another one of my influences, Buddy Guy. Buddy is definately the real deal when it comes to playing the blues.  Buddy has been inspiring guitarists and performers for decades and has shared the stage with almost everyone. When Buddy takes the stage his personality fills the whole room. Everytime I see Buddy I learn something new about playing guitar, singing and being a performing artist. I was lucky enough to visit Buddy's club-Legends in Chicago last summer and he was there, so I got to speak with him and get him to sign my guitar.  Thanks Buddy!!

Story

Another one of my original tunes, but I can't take full credit without tipping my hat to the King of the Blues-Mr. B.B. King. I couldn't have written this one without all the hours I spent listening over and over again to B.B.'s recordings. The man is a legend and every blues player owes him a big thank you. Keep playing B.B.!!

Story

This one is my try at writing an R & B tune and was inspired by all those great Stax recordings of the 1960's that I used to listen to on my little transistor radio on the beach during those hot summer months. What great music that was!! It never grows old.

Story

Here's one I wrote sitting in the bathtub (hah..hah) one evening as I was thinking back on all the great early rock and roll I grew up listening to. It was definately a tip of the hat to Chuck Berry and other early rock and roll pioneers. It was really fun having Duke add the rhythm tracks and doing the back up vocals with the rest of the band in the studio, shouting up to the ceiling microphone-"Juke Box Baby!"

Larry Davis

Story

Here is a great Larry Davis tune that was made famous by the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. Duke Robillard recorded this tune back when he formed Roomful of Blues. Duke and I traded solo's on this tune and it was truly a thrill for me to stand toe to toe with one of my influences during this recording.
